Switching from viaTOLL to e-TOLL

What should I do before the viaTOLL system expires?

  • Return your OBU to receive a deposit refund;
  • Register on e-TOLL and unregister from viaTOLL;
  • Clear the cash balance on your viaTOLL account. You have 12 months after viaTOLL expiry to do this, and the deadline is 30 september 2022. After that date, all monies remaining in users’ viaTOLL accounts will be transferred to the National Roads Fund.

How do I unregister from viaTOLL and recover cash from the account during the transition period?

If you do not have an e-TOLL account yet, you can unregister from viaTOLL:

  • Directly at a viaTOLL Customer Service Point, where you will fill in the appropriate form, or
  • By e-mailing a complete form to info@viatoll.pl or mailing it to the following traditional mail address: “Skrytka pocztowa 528, Poznań 9, 60-967 Poznań”.

If you have an e-TOLL account and want to unregister from viaTOLL:

  • Directly at a viaTOLL Customer Service Facility - fill in the appropriate form,
  • Submit a refund order on a signed form at an e-TOLL Customer Service Facility,
  • E-mail a complete form to info@viatoll.pl or to kontakt@etoll.gov.pl, or mail it to the following traditional mailing address: “Skrytka pocztowa 528, Poznań 9, 60-967 Poznań”.
  • Place an order through your Online Customer Account (on signup).

How do I unregister from viaTOLL and recover cash from the account after expiry?

  • E-mail a photo of your OBU and its identification number to info@viatoll.plor to kontakt@etoll.gov.pl to recover the deposit you paid for the OBU.
  • Register on e-TOLL and unregister from viaTOLL;
  • Clear your viaTOLL account balance. You have 12 months after viaTOLL expiry to do this, and the deadline is 30 september 2022. After that date, all monies remaining in users’ viaTOLL accounts will be transferred to the National Roads Fund.

When is the deadline for returning a viaBOX?

By 30 september 2021 at a Customer Service Facility.

As of 1 october 2021, the Head of the National Revenue Administration will no longer accept viaBOX units. Deposits will be refunded on the basis of a complaint form and a photo of the respective viaBOX.

When is the deadline for requesting a viaTOLL deposit and account balance refund?

You have 12 months after expiry of the viaTOLL system to do this - the deadline is 30 september 2022.
