Autopay is a system for making quick and automatic payments for tolls on motorways in Poland. Since December 1, 2021, on the sections: A2 Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica, it will be possible to buy an e-ticket using this application.

How to create an account in Autopay?

The Autopay application can be downloaded for free in Google Play stores, AppStore and AppGallery Huawei. It operates on all mobile devices with iOS 10 or later and Android 6.0 or later.

To be able to use the application, users must register their accounts by providing:

  • their e-mail adress,
  • phone number,
  • vehicle data (make and registration number).

You need to pair a payment card (debit or credit) with the application, funds for the purchase of e-tickets will be collected from it. The application should also have sections of the motorways marked: A2 Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica, for them tolls may be collected automatically.

How to buy an e-ticket in Autopay?

The feature enabling users to purchase e-tickets distributed by Autopay can be accessed through one of the three available channels.

AUTOPAY APPLICATION

A registered Autopay user does not have to do anything except launch the app (it can work in the background) to purchase an e-ticket. The system will automatically read the location of the vehicle at the time of entering the toll motorway section and will automatically charge the toll at the time of exiting the toll section.

In order to make your purchase successful, launch the Autopay app beforehand and indicate the vehicle you will be driving on the highway.

The user of the application must agree to read the location (geolocation) and receive push notifications on the phone. When the vehicle approaches the starting point of the toll section, the application sends a push notification that an e-ticket will be purchased in a moment. Payment for a motorway section is automatically charged to the user's card registered in the app after the trip is completed.

The e-ticket issued by Autopay will have the form of an email with confirmation of the purchase of the ticket. In addition, a document confirming the purchase in PDF format will be attached to the email.

Note! Autopay uses GPS technology, but only retrieves the vehicle's position when entering and exiting the motorway. Location data is not stored or transferred to third parties.

If the application does not send a push notification before entering the motorway with information about the purchase of a ticket, it will be a signal to the user that the e-ticket has not been purchased. In such a situation, you should stop at a safe place and buy a ticket through the ebiletautostradowy.pl website.

How to return an e-ticket purchased in Autopay?

Until an e-ticket is used, users can return them and thus recover the funds allocated for purchase. The link for a return is included in the e-mail confirmation of the purchase of e-tickets. To make a return, you must provide the e-ticket number and the car registration plate.
