e-TOLL in the Autopay application

Autopay is a system for making quick and automatic payments for tolls on motorways in Poland. Since December 1, 2021, on the sections: A2 Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica, it will be possible to buy an e-ticket using this application.

How to create an account in Autopay?

The Autopay application can be downloaded for free in Google Play stores, AppStore and AppGallery Huawei. It operates on all mobile devices with iOS 10 or later and Android 6.0 or later.

To be able to use the application, users must register their accounts by providing:

  • their e-mail adress,
  • phone number,
  • vehicle data (make and registration number).

You need to pair a payment card (debit or credit) with the application, funds for the purchase of e-tickets will be collected from it. The application should also have sections of the motorways marked: A2 Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica, for them tolls may be collected automatically.

How to buy an e-ticket in Autopay?

Registered Autopay users, to purchase e-tickets: do not need to do anything but run the application (it can run in the background). The system itself will read the car's location when entering a toll section of a motorway and will automatically charge the toll when leaving the tolled section.

Remember! For the purchase to be successful, you must first start the Autopay application (it can run in the background) and indicate the car you will be driving on the highway.

You must also agree for location data to be read (geolocation) and receive push notifications on your phone. When your vehicle approaches the entry onto a toll section, Autopay sends a push notification informing that e-tickets will be purchased in a moment. Payments for motorway sections driven on are charged automatically from your card after the end of the drive.

E-tickets issued by Autopay will be in the form of an e-mail containing purchase confirmation of an e-ticket. A document confirming the purchase in pdf format will also be attached to the e-mail.

Note! The Autopay application is based on GPS technology, but it downloads the vehicle's position only at the time of entering and exiting a motorway. Location data is not stored or transferred to external entities.

If a user does not receive a push notification before entering a motorway, it means that no e-ticket has been purchased. In such a situation, you should stop in a safe place and buy a ticket via Then check your phone settings and make sure that you have consented to receive push notifications. You can also use to check detailed battery settings - some systems have their own battery management strategy in the app, you may need to add Autopay to exceptions.

How to return an e-ticket purchased in Autopay?

Until an e-ticket is used, users can return them and thus recover the funds allocated for purchase. The link for a return is included in the e-mail confirmation of the purchase of e-tickets. To make a return, you must provide the e-ticket number and the car registration plate.
