e-TOLL replacing the Manual Toll Collection System for passenger cars and motorcycles since December 1

19 November 2021

There will be a change in the method of toll collection for passenger cars and motorcycles (i.e., vehicles with a GVW below 3.5 tons) on toll sections of A2 Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica motorways managed by GDDKiA since 1 December 2021. The e-TOLL system will replace the Manual Toll Collection System operative until November 30, 2021, and driving through toll collection points will be without barriers.

You will no longer pay for your drive at a toll booth, but by purchasing an e-ticket or transferring geolocation data using the e-TOLL PL application or OBU / ELS devices.

Entering a motorway using the e-TOLL lane without paying the toll will result in a breach, subject to a fine on the driver or the necessity to pay an additional fee. More information can be found in the inspection tab at

Traffic problems on toll sections of A2 and A4 motorways possible from mid-November

Due to the change in the toll collection system for passenger cars and motorcycles on motorways, together with GDDKiA we are developing a new traffic organization at toll collection points. From mid-November to early December this year, there may be periodic traffic difficulties on toll sections of A2 Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica motorways, related to, inter alia, installing new horizontal and vertical marking.

Plan how you will pay for your drive

Before you set off on the route along toll sections of A2 Konin-Stryków or A4 Wrocław-Sośnica motorways, select the payment method.

1. Buy an e-ticket

  • in the e-TOLL PL TICKET application (the option to purchase in the application is available since December 1, 2021), you can read more about the application in the About e-TOLL PL TICKET application tab
  • at e-TOLL system partners

You can buy an e-ticket in advance if you provide the car's registration number, the section of the motorway on which you will drive and the planned date and time of commencement. The ticket will be valid for 48 hours from the indicated date. If you have changed your plans, you can return the ticket before the declared departure time.

2. Install the e-TOLL PL application (available from June 24, 2021)

Download it for free in Google Play and App Store. It is supported by the Android system (min. 6.0, recommended 11+) and IOS (13+).

In the e-TOLL PL application, you will pay the toll and top up your account. The application provides geolocation data, so you do not have to declare the time or route of the planned drive in advance. Charging is done using your vehicle's geolocation data. The application must be turned on all the time during the drive.

To use the e-TOLL PL application, you must register at the e-TOLL system. After you install the application, you will receive a business ID of the device, enter it in the Online Customer Account (IKK).

If you have an OBU / ELS device installed in your car, you can use it to pay the toll. Check if your device type has already been approved for the e-TOLL system in the About GPS devices tab.
