Changes in toll collection on A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Katowice motorways
18 czerwca 2021
- Toll collection through the e-TOLL system will be launched in June. A transition period will be offered, during which both viaTOLL and e-TOLL will be enabled simultaneously.
- Signage on A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica motorway sections is being modified.
- Transfer lanes dedicated to e-TOLL or viaTOLL users will be set out at the toll collection points of the A2 and A4 motorways. These lanes will not be available to users of anonymous viaAUTO devices.
With the launch of the new toll collection system, far right lanes will be opened for e-TOLL and viaTOLL users as dedicated transfer lanes at the A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica motorway toll collection points.
Work is currently pending on proper marking of the dedicated toll collection lanes with information boards presenting the new e-TOLL system logo. The assembly works are not causing any traffic disruption.
Rules of using the e-TOLL transfer lanes
The special extreme lanes are dedicated to e-TOLL and viaTOLL system users, excluding users of anonymous viaAUTO on-board units and users whose OBUs are not assigned to the vehicles where they are installed.
If you are not sure about the type of your viaAUTO device, please call the viaTOLL Customer Call Centre.
We encourage all viaAUTO service users to install our eTOLL PL mobile app, soon to be available for download from Google Play and App Store.
Driving on the Gliwice ring road will be free of charge, like it is today. However, if you continue driving on the A4 motorway outside the Gliwice ring, you will have to pay toll for the motorway section you cover outside of the ring. You can pay the motorway toll in e-TOLL PL app or in the manual toll collection system, for which you will first need to pick a motorway ticket at the entry lanes adapted to manual toll collection.
NOTE! In dedicated e-TOLL entry lanes it will not be possible to download a ticket, while in dedicated e-TOLL exit lanes it will not be possible to pay the toll with cash, payment cards and fleet carats.
