Launch of another EETS provider

August 1, 2024

#news

  • From 1 August 2024, drivers paying tolls via Toll4Europe GmbH as part of the EETS can travel on Polish roads.
  • After Telepass S.p.A., this will be another EETS Provider to render EETS in Poland.
  • EETS means one contract, one account and one device for drivers travelling within the European Union.

The European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) is available in Poland from 17 October 2022. It enables payment for road travel within the European Union countries with electronic toll systems. Drivers opting for EETS conclude a contract with one EETS provider of their choice, use only one on-board unit (so-called OBU), have one user account and receive one invoice for all transits. It is therefore a solution that drivers who travel frequently on the roads of EU countries are keen to use. Users who choose to use a particular EETS Provider thus fulfil their obligation to pay for their travel. They no longer need to settle with the national toll collector, the Head of NRA, via the e-TOLL system.

The e-TOLL system users who wish to use the EETS should follow the information on the website of the EETS Provider they chose:

Please keep in mind that the EETS can be rendered by providers that meet the requirements set out in the provisions of Directive (EU) 2019/520 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 March 2019.
