e-TOLL launching on June 24

    • The Ministry of Finance (MF) and the National Revenue Administration (NRA) are launching a new toll collection system for driving heavy vehicles (+3.5T) on toll national roads and toll sections of Konin-Stryków (A2) and Wrocław-Sośnica (A4) motorways, for heavy and light vehicles.
    • Transfer lanes dedicated to e-TOLL and viaTOLL users have been set out at the toll collection points of the A2 and A4 motorways.

    What is e-TOLL

    e-TOLL is an advanced Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) based solution It is going to replace the incumbent viaTOLL system, to expire by 30 September 2021 at the latest.

    The new system supports the collection of electronic toll for driving on selected sections of national roads. It will support payment for driving heavy and light vehicles.

    With the launch of the new system, far right lanes will be opened for e-TOLL and viaTOLL users as dedicated transfer lanes at the A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica motorway toll collection points. Payments for motorway driving will be possible with our eTOLL PL mobile app, to be available for download from Google Play and App Store as of June 24.

Where to look for information about e-TOLL

Details of the new system are published on our etoll.gov.pl website. Our Customer Call Center provides information in 4 languages (Polish, English, German, Russian) 24 hours a day. Consultants are available for users at:

  • 800 101 101 - toll free number for landline users in Poland;
  • + +48 22 521 10 10 - regular number dedicated to mobile phone users and callers from abroad; costs as per the telecommunication operator’s rate.

Light vehicle routes

Users of light vehicles (total DMC not exceeding 3.5 tonnes) who have a customized viaAUTO device or use the free e-TOLL PL app can use e-TOLL on A2 Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica, driving in dedicated lanes that are properly identified for this purpose.

ENTRY

When entering a motorway through toll collection points, make sure you choose the right entry lane. Each lane is clearly identified with high visibility signs to facilitate smooth entry into the toll motorway for drivers. A green arrow indicates a lane which is open for traffic; a red cross means that the lane is closed.

Drivers intending to choose manual payment should take any open entrance lane on the left of a toll collection point, unless this lane is identified with e-TOLL symbol, and pick a ticket.

Drivers of passenger cars who use the electronic e-TOLL payment method should choose any of the lanes with an e-TOLL sign above. These will be the following, according to the location of the toll collection point:

  1. On the A2 Konin-Stryków section - lane one at Toll Collection Stations (TCSs), or lane one + lane two at Toll Collection Plazas (TCPs) from the right, identified with an e-TOLL sign board.
  2. On the A4 Wrocław-Sośnica section - lane one at Toll Collection Stations (TCSs), or lane one + lane two at Toll Collection Plazas (TCPs) from the right, identified with an e-TOLL sign board.

You cannot pick a ticket when in dedicated e-TOLL entry lanes

EXIT

When exiting a motorway through toll collection points, make sure you choose the right exit lane. Each lane is clearly identified with high visibility signs to facilitate smooth exit from the toll motorway for drivers. A green arrow indicates a lane which is open for traffic; a red cross means that the lane is closed.

Drivers intending to choose manual payment should take any open exit lane on the left of a toll collection plaza with a sign presenting a toll collection clerk above. The number of open lanes depends on traffic intensity.

Drivers of passenger cars who use the electronic e-TOLL payment method should choose any of the lanes with an e-TOLL sign above. These will be the following, according to the location of the toll collection point:

  1. On the A2 Konin-Stryków section - lane one at Toll Collection Stations (TCSs), or lane one + lane two at Toll Collection Plazas (TCPs) from the right, identified with an e-TOLL sign board.
  2. On the A4 Wrocław-Sośnica section - lane one at Toll Collection Stations (TCSs), or lane one + lane two + lane three at Toll Collection Plazas (TCPs) from the right, identified with an e-TOLL sign board.

The lanes dedicated to e-TOLL users are identified with the following sign:

You cannot pay your toll with cash, bank card or fleet card when using the dedicated e-TOLL exit lanes.
