Types of vehicles for which toll is collected

e-TOLL is mandatory for all motor vehicles and vehicle trains with maximum authorised mass >3.5 tonnes, and for buses (irrespective of their maximum authorised mass).

In accordance with the Act the Public Roads Act, electronic toll collection applies in Poland on toll motorways, expressways, and selected national roads. All proceeds from e-TOLL are received at the National Roads Fund. They will be allocated to continued investments in the expansion of the roads network in Poland and to upgrading the existing roads infrastructure.

e-TOLL is mandatory for drivers of the following vehicles:

Vehicles with maximum authorised mass > 3.5 t or < 12 t

Car with trailer

  • A passenger car with a trailer, with a combined weight of the vehicle and trailer at >3.5 tonnes;
  • A minibus with <9 seats, with a maximum authorised mass of the vehicle and trailer >3.5 tonnes;

 

van

 

Truck tractor without semi-trailerCiągnik siodłowy

  • A truck tractor with a semitrailer, with a maximum authorised mass >3.5 tonnes;
  • A truck tractor without a semitrailer, with a maximum authorised mass >3.5 tonnes;
  • A van >3.5 tonnes.

Vehicles with maximum authorised mass 12 t

 

Truck

  • A truck with a maximum authorised mass ≥12 tonnes;
  • A truck with a maximum authorised mass ≥12 tonnes with a drawbar trailer;

Truck tractor with semi-trailer

  • A truck tractor with a semitrailer, with a maximum authorised mass ≥12 tonnes.

Buses

  • A bus/coach with <9 seats (driver seat included), of any maximum authorised mass;
  • A bus/coach with <9 seats (driver seat included) with a trailer, of any maximum authorised mass.
